Ismael Pineda Jr. is a multi-instrumentalist/percussionist, music producer, composer, and mixing/mastering engineer with over twenty-five years of experience in the music industry. With a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of music production, Ismael is fluent in diverse techniques and has a strong proficiency in DAW Pro Tools. His expertise extends to commercial vocal production, arrangement, songwriting, mixing and mastering engineering, budgeting, audio/music production for visual media, audio editing, and architectural, acoustical, and audio system design for modern music production studios. Throughout his career, he has received numerous accolades and awards that reflect his dedication and talent. One of his achievements includes being the percussionist in Janiva Magness’ “Love Wins Again,” a Grammy Award nominated recording in the Contemporary Blues Album category in the 59th Annual Grammy Awards.

Ismael has had the privilege of performing and recording with a distinguished list of artists, including The Temptations, Luis Enrique, Christian Castro, Toby Love, and Fuerza Regida among others. His collaboration with renowned acts such as The Delgado Brothers Band, La Santa Cecilia, Janiva Magness, Mariachi Los Camperos and Lin Manuel Miranda’s musical “In The Heights” has further showcased his versatility and musical talent.

As a producer, Ismael has achieved remarkable milestones. He produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered a four-song EP for Grammy award-winning artist Rosalie Elena Rodriguez. In 2023, he also produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered a single for Mary Alfaro, titled "Redemption Song" by Bob Marley. Additionally, Ismael re-produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered a single entitled "Viento y Sol" by Ismael, featuring Gabrielito Gonzalez and Grammy award-winning artist Rosalie Elena Rodriguez. In 2022, he produced a show for LA Phil's YOLA at Inglewood program Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, featuring Death-Row Records artist Julian Torres and various other artists. In 2021, he produced a song titled "Together," along with its Spanish version "Juntos," which featured a collective of all-star musicians dedicated to raising awareness for separated families at the Southwest border. All proceeds from the song were donated to The Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights. Ismael's dedication to music extends beyond production. In addition to his impressive production credentials, Ismael is also an artist in his own right. In 2013, he released his first record, "LA Love," under the name Ish. The album showcased Ismael's versatility and creativity as he explored various musical styles and shared his unique perspective on love and life in Los Angeles.

Ismael has an impressive academic background that includes a Master of Music in Music Production with distinction from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He consistently appeared on the Graduate Dean's List throughout his studies, demonstrating his commitment to excellence. Prior to that, Ismael obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Music, specializing in Music Education, with Honors in the Major from Cal State Dominguez Hills. He excelled academically, earning recognition on the College of Arts and Humanities Dean's List multiple times. Ismael also received an Associate of Arts in Music from Pasadena City College, where he was awarded the prestigious Music Teachers' Association of California Dorothy Bishop Composition Scholarship.
